AJAX Software Engineers Location Annapolis Junction, MD Job Type Computer-Software Status Open     Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) provides our military intelligence government client with expertise on analytic software applications and databases in support of the SIGINT , Information Assurance, and Technology Directorates. This work is located on site with our client at Fort Meade. This includes custom software code, daily maintenance, upgrades to address configuration changes, total ownership costs reduction, and emergency/crisis capabilities. In addition, our team provides support to the government in maintaining configuration control operational baselines, conducting operational test and evaluation of new capabilities to be delivered to the baseline, training, and ensuring developed capabilities meet appropriate supportability requirements. We currently support this client in many areas including Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), Information Assurance (IA), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, Cryptology, Counter Biological Warfare, as well as many other mission related activities. Due to our excellent past performance we have been awarded additional work with this same client in the area of improving SIGINT capabilities. Our new work involves the review, improvement, and development of multiple high priority systems which are utilized by Analysts on a daily basis. Since these systems have proven to be critical to the Analysts’ tasks, we are enhancing the systems to allow for more user-friendly interfaces capable of supporting web services. The ideal candidate must possess an active and current TS/SCI with full lifestyle polygraph clearance and have expertise in AJAX (custom JAVAScript and EXT-JS), CSS/HTML, and Web Services (AXIS 1.4 and 2.0, WebLogic). For this effort, Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC): • Reviews the current systems and identifies areas for improvement. • Develops the GUI’s to allow users to access the systems through a browser, or icon on the desktop. • Creates a dashboard that allows easy navigation by a user in order to cross-navigate horizontally through existing and future databases/applications. • Supports the systems (specifically the presentation layer) by using the following software tools: AJAX, JSP 2.1, CSS/HTML, Spring Framework, Spring-MVC, Struts, Web Services, EJB 3.0, and Maven 2.0. Hands-on experience and familiarity with the following technologies and protocols is a plus: PERL, JSR 168 PORTLETS, AJAX, SERVLETS & JSP, UDDI SERVICE REGISTRY, and AQUALOGIC BUSINESS PROCESS. Potential candidates should also have UNIX/LINUX/WINDOWS experience, first-hand knowledge of test and verification processes, familiarity with software development lifecycle processes and concepts of application design, and an understanding of the idiosyncrasies of standard CSS, XHTML, IE, Firefox, and Mozilla. The qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related academic field plus 6-8 yrs directly related experience and/or a combination of related military and vocational experience; or a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related academic field plus 4-6 yrs directly related experience. Certifications may be substituted for degree, plus 6-8 years experience in software engineering or client services industry.
