The successful candidate will play an integral role in providing operations research skills to provide decision support and analysis to a diverse set of Federal and State clients with missions requiring superior planning, management and execution. The candidate will be matrixed across several project areas to provide consulting support and decision support tool development. The candidate will apply operations research techniques including decision analysis, optimization, simulation, statistical modeling, and gaming theory to an array of problem areas across a diverse client network that spans USMC Logistics Command within the Albany, GA area. The candidate will also work as part of an integrated solutions development team to provide value to systems engineering and development for specific decision support application. The candidate will be responsible for some business development activities, writing reports and documenting research scope, methods, and results using technical writing techniques. The candidate may be required to manage projects related to providing solutions to the client base. The candidate will be prepared to travel 25% to support client needs.

The qualified candidate must have a MS in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and 8-10 years of directly related experience. Experience in DOD/Military logistics processes and procedures with Major Headquarters or USMC Staff experience being preferred. Systems engineering experience in both military and commercial environments are preferred. Experience in applying several operations research methods like mathematical modeling, optimization modeling, stochastic simulation, probability and statistical analysis, decision analysis, and applied gaming theory is preferred. Experience with developing supply chain solutions and experience in managing personnel and clients is preferred. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD clearance may be required.
