Assistant GIS Developer

Concurrent Technologies Corporation is seeking a GIS technician. Position will be responsible for data collection and updating of CAD and GIS data and drawings for a robust GIS operation developed by CTC at Tobyhanna Army Depot. Candidate must have education in or knowledge of geospatial science software applications including ESRI ArcInfo/ArcView, ArcIMS, and ArcSDE. Duties include: database design & development, system testing, geospatial science. Qualifying applicants should be comfortable handling customer interaction, in a team-based environment. Works under the direction of the onsite Sr. GIS Analyst and CTC Project Manager. Hours based on facility and project requirements, at the discretion of the client, the Sr. GIS onsite staff and the project manager.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree and/or an Associates Degree with 0-2 years relative experience. Requires skills in: Windows software development (including Visual Basic) and database management and programming (including SQL Server or Oracle). Requires education in or experience with ArcInfo, ArcView and ArcIMS. Ideal candidate will have database design and application programming experience using Python, VB, AML, MS Access or SQL Server.
