Oracle Database Administrator Location Albany,GA Job Type Information Technology Status Open     A senior Oracle database administrator is sought to provide support for Information Technology (IT) support services at Headquarters Marine Corps Logistics Command, Command, Control, Communications and Computers (HQ MARCORLOGCOM, C4). The candidate will perform standard Oracle database administration and Unix system administration tasks for Oracle version10 and Linux based operating systems. The selected applicant will utilize existing and write new SQL scripts and use OEM tools to help monitor the performance of the operating systems and databases. Test backup & recovery procedures for Oracle databases and make recommendations to improve the procedures. The ideal candidate will possess experience with Oracle RAC environments. Be proficient with HPUX version 11. The successful individual will be proficient with Windows and Linux based operating systems. The qualified candidate should possess Master’s degree in Computer Science and 4years directly related experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at least 6 years directly related experience. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with at least Oracle 9i and 10g. Experience in Oracle data warehousing, enterprise DB architectures, OLAP, Object-relational Design, BI tools COGNOS preferred. An ITIL Certification is a plus. Applicants must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance. Knowledge of USMC applications and operations preferred.
