The ideal Candidate will lead a 9-11 person Training Support Team (TST). The team lead will also be required to prepare both the normal and emergency Doff areas. While inside the training area, the team lead will be required to processes expendable material (potentially exposed to minimal quantities of nerve agent, or hot trash).The team lead will also be responsible for setting up and tearing down of outside and toxic training areas in accordance with published standard operating procedures and work instructions. The team lead will provide emergency assistance to students or cadre operating in the toxic training area following published procedures.

The ideal candidate will be able to put all necessary training equipment (M22, CAM, ICAM, etc) into operation prior to student entry. In addition, the ideal candidate must also be able to train others on how to use this equipment, may also be required to perform operator maintenance on all training equipment and must be able to train people on how to use this equipment as well. The team lead may be required to deliver replacement items to the training bays. The team lead will also participate and support in the hot trash procedures on GB or VX manufacturing and bottling operations, The team lead will also serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) which involves wearing MOPP II (a lesser level of protection not requiring the wear of mask and gloves) during manufacturing and bottling operations.

As part of their responsibility, the team lead will operate up to four (4) hours per day (with occasional, infrequent requirements up to six (6) hours per day, with medical clearance).
The team lead may also be required to perform duties as an Agent Handler. He/She will be responsible for maintaining accountability and security of chemical agents received from the laboratory, placing chemical agents on training aids, and destroying chemical agents not used during training. In addition he/she may also serve as a back-up to the primary Operations Center/Safety Control (OC/SC) Room Operator. The selected team lead will receive training and must certify in the sample collection technique of DAAMS.

Knowledge Skills and Required Edu/Certifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in chemical protective gear and operating in a toxic training area and experience in Mission-Oriented Protective Posture Level 4 (MOPP-IV)).
Also required is experience in working with water and necessary precautions involved in wearing vinyl Toxicological Protective Apron (TAP).
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in entering toxic training area and setting up the toxic training area prior to the entry of students, cleaning up the toxic training areas after training, processing contaminated waste prior to disposal, and providing emergency response during toxic agent operations.
The Candidate must have experience in both normal and emergency Doff areas.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience in processing expendable material (potentially exposed to minimal quantities of nerve agent, or hot trash), setting up and tearing down of outside and toxic training areas in accordance with published SOPs and work instructions, must have experience in performing operator maintenance on all training equipment, and disposition of hot trash procedures. The ideal candidate will also have extensive experience as an Agent Handler. The Candidate will also have background in maintaining accountability and security of chemical agents received from the laboratory, placing chemical agents on training aids, and destroying chemical agents not used during training.
