INFORMATION ASSURANCE ANALYST/CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER

 

Primary Responsibilities:  CTC is seeking a qualified candidate for n Information Assurance Analyst/Cybersecurity engineer.  The successful candidate will:

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain server hardware and security software to ensure their confidentiality, integrity and availability. 
  • Implement Department of Defense information assurance compliance and security changes in both physical and virtualized environments as required. 
  • Interact with network and systems administration teams to identify and remediate system vulnerabilities and may travel to customer sites to support system deliveries schedule. 

Basic Qualifications:    

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 4-6 years of experience.
  • Possess knowledge of network security concepts including vulnerability management, scanning, compliance status, and performing mitigation actions, a strong understanding of security principles and methods, such as firewalls, DMZ, and encryption and knowledge of systems administration concepts such as:
    • Windows 7 or later/Server 2008 R2 or later OS hardening
    • Implementing STIG checklists on Windows servers and workstations
    • Performing vulnerability scans using Tenable Nessus or similar products
    • Group policy configuration and implementation
    • Application hardening
    • Virtualization using VMWare technologies
    • Peforming updates and security patches remotely on systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server diagnostic tools and fault identification. 
  • Candidate must possess a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+)

Preferred qualifications:                                                    

  • Ability to maintain directory services, monitor and optimize server performance and recover failed physical and/or virtual servers.
  • Sharepoint Administration skills
  • Experience developing or reviewing RMF and DIACAP packages.
  • HBSS
  • ACAS

Clearance:  U.S. citizenship required.  The candidate must possess and have the ability to maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance for this position.
